Some my sample set is sold as surround, i.e. having 4 channels for each organ stop. Two front channels, plus two rear channels.
Sometimes, one may desire to load the sample set as a conventional two channel stereo sample set, so called 'simple stereo' sample set. This is good for the use in headphones, or with a single pair of speakers. But if you have enough memory (RAM), I recommend the use of the surround sound version in this case too. If you have a stereo sound-system but using the surround version, the sound will be much better and brighter. :)
How to make a simple stereo sample set out of the Surround?
Before loading the sample set, it is possible to mute all the rear ranks and use only the front portion of the sample set, which equals to the wet only option of the virtual organ. To mute the rear ranks, it is necessary to identify them in the rank audio output routing dialog. This is easy since all such ranks are described with a word "rear" in the rank name. Then, select all of these and for each on of them click "No" in the box near to the "Rank enabled?" question. It is also possible to select more ranks at once by holding the Ctrl key while clicking the rear ranks.
